In the morning

From around 8:00 am to 8:30 am, our excellent Hue local guide and Hue Private Car will pick you up at your hotels/ homestay in Hue city center. We start the Hue city group tour by taking a dragon boat to go along the Perfume River to visit the 400-year-old pagoda.

10:30 after that, we will explore the complex of Hue Imperial Citadel complex including Hue Citadel, Royal City, and Forbidden City, the former working area and private residence of 13 Nguyen Emperors, concubines, and eunuchs.

In the afternoon

At 13:30, after lunch, we will continue the Hue Group City Tour by visiting the Royal Tomb of the second emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty, Minh Mang Emperor who had 600 concubines, 142 children, and 78 sons.

This tomb is an exquisitely harmonious blend of architecture and natural landscape, reflecting the philosophical and aesthetic ideals of the Nguyen Dynasty. Built in 1840, this serene and majestic mausoleum complex, with its lakes, gardens, and pavilions, serves as the final resting place of Emperor Minh Mang.

It is such a very nice and meaningful tomb with a lot of stuff (PRE- prepared while he was still alive). It is only for the afterlife of the Emperor. Our tour guide will tell you a scary secret of the burial process at the end of the tomb.

Then, we will visit the tomb of the 12th emperor of the Nguyen dynasty- Khai Dinh Emperor. It is the smallest tomb but is known as the most expensive and beautiful tomb in the tomb system of the Nguyen dynasty and over the World.

The Royal Tomb of Khai Dinh is an architectural marvel that blends traditional Vietnamese design with European influences. Built between 1920 and 1931, this elaborate mausoleum features intricate ceramic and glass decorations, standing as a testament to the lavish and unique aesthetic preferences of Emperor Khai Dinh.

Therefore, nowadays, it is one of the new heritages in the world. You would say twice “WOW, WOW” when entering the Thien Dinh Palace in the Khai Dinh Tomb, I promise you.
